Recycling
Recycling at NDC PolythenesAt NDC Polythenes we are serious about earning the right to call ourselves an environmentally conscious manufacturer. This is why we are committed to ensuring that wherever possible our products are made from recycled material produced in our own in-house recycling facility. We are a major recyclers of polythene film, on average each year we recycle over 5000 tons of waste polythene material and this figure is increasing year on year as our product range increases. Our 4.5 acre site in Old Hill, Birmingham is an Environmental Agency Accredited site and NDC are Accredited Reprocessors. All waste material is sourced locally within the UK ensuring that less waste goes to landfill or exported abroad. All material is cleaned and reprocessed into re-usable polythene pellets within our in-house purpose-built recycling hall. Subject to stringent ISO 9001 quality management, the recycling process ensures that whilst we use all grades of waste polyethylene, only the best quality recycled polythene is produced for use in our products. This not only guarantees the best quality finished polythene products but also gives our customers the benefit of knowing that our products are truly environmentally friendly, produced locally with minimal carbon footprint. We are always on the lookout for new sources of polythene waste. Therefore if you want to help dispose of your polythene in a more environmentally friendly way get in contact with us through our enquiries form on the contacts page of the website.
