Plastic’s new ‘green’ credentials

A recent news article in the PRW has highlighted a new Environmental Agency report that shows, if re-used just once, plastic bags have a lower environmental impact per bag then paper or even cotton alternatives.

This shows that plastic has a role to play in hleping to meet enviromental objectives and should improve plastics enviromental credentials.

NDC Polythenes Celebrates the Season of Goodwill

Each Year at NDC Polythenes, we celebrate Christmas by donating to a worthy charitable cause.

This year is no exception and we are pleased to announce that for Christmas 2010 we will be donating to DebRA, a charity that raises money for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). A rare and particularly horrific genetic disorder that causes the skin and internal linings of sufferers to blister.

This year’s donation also holds significance importance to NDC as it will be in support of a cause important to a member of our staff. After asking for relevant causes DebRA was highlighted to us by a member of staff who has a family friend that suffers from the disease. They have already undertaken fund raising activities to support the cause and we unanimously decided to back up their efforts during this years Christmas donation. We hope that our donation will help the charity to continue its excellent work to support sufferers of EB this Christmas.
